For those of you who have been with the company long enough to make time and a half on Sunday are you still allowed to work Sundays? Or has your store quit allowing that?

Wow no one ever got itat my store.Now they don't even schedule the people who would get an extra $ an hour.Mostly all part timmers on sunday.

Back when they changed the accounting office is when they started me working on sundays.  My regular work schedule is Sun-thurs.  They took away my supervisor pay of .80 and hour, but it made up for some of it with the Sunday pay.  It's like getting 8 extra hours on each paycheck.  I hope they don't go and change that too, but I wouldn't put it past them.  And I've been capped out ever since they took the money away, even though I still do all the same work.

Was just curious as to if it was something just my store was doing or not. Just within the last couple of weeks they have told the ones who do make time and a half they aren't allowed to work on Sundays. Dept Mgrs have to work every weekend between Nov 1st and Jan 1st. and the ones who have been there that long are ticked cause they have to work Saturday instead now.

I think they stopped that about a year before I started.  I worked with a lady at another store that gets time and a half on Sundays.  They don't use her unless someone is on vacation.  Most of the other people I know at my other store work in the office and don't work on the weekends, they have been with Walmart 20 years or more.

For us Sundays are Sundays but lately I do not work Sundays just for the heck of it.

Part timers don't even get an extra dollar? When did that happen? I left about 1.5 years ago but I didn't hear about them taking it away, and I was originally part time and I got it.

All of the new associates I have been orientating receive the extra dollar an hour on Sundays. I haven't heard anything about this going away. I just orientated 10 people yesterday and will keep an eye to see if they receive it. I would assume if they did away with this that they would need to alert personnel as I do not believe this is a market differential or determined by the markets.

If they did do away with the extra dollar on sundays, it probably went the same time that the 90 day raise, and discount card went.  I still receive that dollar and hour when I work, request to work on sundays when I'm needed on weekend.  Most people want sunday off for church.

 i think it went before the 90 day discount card...guy i work with got his card and key flicks prior to  the card but only gets 50cents an hour more on sundays (he got hired in sept)...thing about that 90 day raise at least in our store..my hubby got his job offer in writing starting at $9.50 but his actual starting pay was $10.10 when he asked in personnel about it the difference was due to them doing away with the 90 day raise...so they automatically assumed you got the exceeds and pay accordingly....
