So 2 nights ago, I told my overnighters that I needed a stackbase of items killed, and replaced with such and such item, not off the truck on time for me before i left. After I told them that i need that done, they said ok.. next day I came in, the item I asked to be put on the stackbase was not put there, but put on the shelf instead, which I prefer most of the time, but I had nothing, NOTHING for this stackbase, and it was nearly empty, and nothing else to be put there except the item I requested them to place on it.
So that next night, I had to look around, still nothing to put there, so i pulled up the pre-notification report to see what was on our trailers that night, and saw an item that I could put there, only item again that had enough to be placed on a stackbase, dog chow 50 lb bags. It could go under the steel of the aisle too, but I really needed this stackbase killed, as now i was down to like 5 bags of the dog food on the stackbase left.. SO i told my overnighters, same overnightes that I need this done for sure that night, told them not to put it under the steel, but to put it on the stackbase.
Came in today, not done again. I was fuming. That's the 2nd time that I told them to get rid of that stackbase, and the 2nd time they didn't and put the stuff elsewhere. today that stackbase had 4 bags left of dog food.. That night I got 20 minutes overtime, making the stackbase myself, because I lost all trust in my overnighters to do squat now, not that I ever trusted them to do much anyways.. But I didn't have time for this crap of theirs...
This month I am all by myself at work.. My dept manager is on the 4am to 1pm shift auditing all the bins, and he'll be doing that for the next 4 weeks, one of my coworkers is on a 3 week vacation, won't be back for another week or 2, and my other coworker is about to be deployed to iraq on military leave. SO it's all me this month.. All me to work all my backstock freight, which every bit of it is going. Me to zone my department. Me to clean my fish tanks. Me to get my returns. Me to help customers, answer phones. Me to cover paint dept when they're on lunch.
I haven't even zoned my department this whole week. I haven't had time having to do all my backstock, and dept picks on this new backroom program, and filling my outs, and working the bin. I've been getting all the backstock worked, every bit of it, but it's a headache as I have to mess around in the back to get pallets of other dept's stuff out of my way.
And then there's the overnighters plugging the snot out of my department. Every bit of freight I have to put up has something there that doesn't belong. My risers are being made a shambles of, they're literally just throwing crap up there, not putting it up there nice, piling stuff on top of different products, pushing items back and putting different merchandise in front.
My department is in such bad shape, and I've had it zoning that place with these incompetent overnighters who can't do anything right, not one blasted thing. Today they were all mad at me because I slammed their carts out of my way into other carts of theirs, because they had it in my way and I was pulling a pallet of backstock. but I don't care if they are mad at me, because plain and simple, I'm beyond furious with them. I had a whole cart overloaded of dog food that I had to remove from my riser because we are not allowed dog food on our risers anymore because of our overnighters. I wanna kill them so bad...
