Man, my store was filled with rude/stupid/ignorant customers yesterday. It was rather annoying! lol.
My first part of the day, a guy knocked over a snow globe in lawn and garden, and i went over with a broom/dustpan/spill magic to clean up the water/glass. While I'm sweeping, and scanning the floor for glass shards, a customer comes up and asks if i can get anyone to help him while he points where he wants help. He was pointing towards hardware, so I asked him "by the paint counter?" because that's usually where help's needed in HW. Then he raises his voice to me "Well if you would look where I'm pointing, you would see where I need help." So i said, "Give me a few minutes." I refused to help him when he treats me like that when he is aware that i was sweeping and couldn't look where he was pointing all the time. SO i went and found the hardware associate and told him he has a customer, and good luck:P
From what I heard, the guy was rude to the Hardware associate as well.
And then about 9:30pm some lady asked me about dog food. She said that she gave her dog "Ol-Roy complete nutrition dog food, and now her dog is throwing up, and wants to know if I think it could be contaminated again like a recall 2 years ago. I told her that was unlikely, and asked if she switched dog food on the dog.. and she said yes. So I told her that's probably why her dog is sick, and that you can't switch dog food immediately. YOu have to do so slowly. First day give a bit of it mixed in with the old dog food, then the 2nd day, mix in more, 3rd day, mix in most, and 4th day switch completely. And explained further that dog's systems are very sensitive to switching over of food, and that if the food is not mixed in, the system can reject that dog food thinking it's bad.
But the lady refused to listen to me, and continued on with her paranoid idea that the dog food is contaminated, and sais she's going to send a letter to the FDA with a sample because she thinks it is contaminated. Then she goes and buys beneful. I just walked off at that point. She wasted my time, didn't want to listen to a single thing I said, just wanted to accuse companies of gross negligence. Meh. I wanted to say to her, but didn't, "well, don't come back to me when your dog gets sick again because you are paranoid, that you are going to switch dog food again on your poor dog."
I feel bad for her dog, poor thing is going to be sick a while if she keeps switching. SHe sais she switches her dog food monthly:/ But I wont' be sorry for her.
